How To Choose The Right Bathroom Accessories

Bath accessories come generally in 2 installation methods. Each one of them has its own advantages and disadvantages,

The fitted bathroom accessories: Those are #accessories that needs installation. You might think it is hard work at this moment, but they usually last longer and are more practical. Their installation just needs a drill to make holes in the tiles. Keep in mind that drilled objects cam hold heavier objects.

The free standing bathroom accessories: their advantage come by the fact that you can put them on any surface. You can move them around and even replace them easily. Their inconvenience come by the fact that they require regular maintenance and frequent cleaning.

The materials to be used

Low end plastic: usually comes in set. They are usually used for free standing bathroom accessories set and are temporary solutions. You can put them freely on the sinks or on the bath tub.

Stainless-steel: usually more expensive but totally worth it as they are more durable and have a longer life span.

Chrome-plated steel: It is a cheaper option; it is advisable to invest in something a little bit more expensive since it is not durable and will wear away with time. 

Ceramic and glass bathroom accessories: They are easy to clean and maintain. They are however easy to break and are super fragile.

The difference would be that soap dispensers are easy to use, easy to clean and avoid contamination of the soap. 

toothbrush holder:

Toothbrush holder is used for keeping toothbrushes. Most are normally fixed in the wall for stability, but others are placed on flat surfaces in the bathroom.

NB: we advise you to choose a toothbrush and soap holder or dispenser set. It can save you trouble and time. Bonus tip: they come in different colors and materials, designs and patterns.

Shower Accessories

Shower curtains: they are made from polyester. The curtains can come with hooks, rings or lined. You can pick any of it depending on your personal taste. Just make sure they are water resistant. 

Shelves and shower baskets

They are essential as they can save you space and help you organize your shower products. Try to avoid vacuum cups and opt for fitted ones as the vacuum will be lost due to exposure to water. 

Bathtub and shower mats: those are made to reduce the risk of falls due to their suction cups on the bottom to stick to the tiles.  

Toilet Accessories

Toilet paper holder: It is usually fixed on a wall. Some people prefer it free standing. The most common material are stainless-steel alumminium and wood.  

The bathroom waste bin is made of various materials and can come in many sizes, but the only thing to remember is that the bin should have an easy to operate pedal.

A mat rug: It is not an essential item but it adds a tad of comfort and style. Choose a microfiber one so you can wash it in the machine. 

Bathroom Lighting

It is an important part of your accessories in order to add a charm for your bathroom 

You can choose one of the following:

Wall lights: It is perfect as it can have an attractive design. You can add one on each side of the mirror to create a stylish ambiance.

Ceiling lights: it is a must in dark bathrooms as it give an all around illumination. 

Mirror lights: no need to buy a mirror with built in lights as the lights can be bought separately.
