Neutral Color Palette

The use of untreated colors in concrete or stone and the addition of white and gray paint will give your home the calming and serene aesthetic. This also helps in the present-day aim in humbleness instead of loud neon colors.

Clean Geometry

Today’s design speaks volumes in terms of clean lines and geometric shapes. Designs with arches, ornate columns, or window shutters, as much as they’re pretty, they aren’t considered ‘in’ right now. Celebration of easy access of sunlight has finally come into the modern world. We’re absolutely in love! Installing glass windows and allowing the sun in can give your home the glow and warmth it needs to have that special spark you’re searching for. 

As a design component, mixing large windows with small windows creates a sense of asymmetry, matching the overall structures that you chose in this style of construction.

Reflective surfaces to diffuse natural light in spaces

Add glass bowls, flower vases, or any other DIY glass project you made throughout your home space to reflect light around the room and add the touch of cleanness and tidiness, not to forget about glass giving the fancy vibe and adding brightness to wow the guests. 

Mirrors are common décor pieces whatever style you choose. They come in every shape, size and color, making it one of the easiest element of décor to use.  they also match any color, can be put on shelves, on the floor, but they are most commonly placed on the wall.

In addition, mirrors make spaces look larger because they reflect light. Use mirrors in places where you want big spaces, like above a fireplace, or on an empty wall in the living room, or a big mirror in the corridor entrance.

- High-gloss paint

High gloss paint adds reflection of light to your walls, making the space look brighter just because of the shine. However, you should be careful about which wall to use high gloss paint on because it shows every imperfection in your wall, that’s why we advise choosing a wall with the least imperfections.

Floors

Modern design accepts granite, woodwork or concrete floors. Use of carpets can be accepted as long as there is only one color or a pastel geometric pattern. Too many rugs are a big NO from the interior design world, because they give your place oriental style and overcharge the house décor going far away from the simplicity we’re trying hard to achieve. 

Clutter Free

Modern interior design is characterized by being minimalist. So we go by ‘less is more’ concept to accessorize present-day interior, so be sure to use boxes to put away toys and other stuff out of sight, go humble with the antiques you like to add to give your space neatness the world of today desperately holds.
