What do we mean when we talk about quality of life? What is the first thing that comes to your mind? Most of us confuse it with standard of living. However, quality of life goes beyond that. Standard of living is directly living with your income, but it doesn’t have a direct effect on your quality of life. Quality of life includes your total happiness, your health, vitality, and leisure. Of course, money can help you achieve a good life but not everyone with money is happy. Here are some ways where you can increase your happiness at home without having to invest in a big budget.
Focus on eating well
Eating well, of course involves good choices of food. Everyone has in their new year resolutions to include more fruits and vegetables and even proteins. However eating well goes beyond that. Invest in a good wooden dining table where you can eat easily and slowly and meditate. You can also gather with your family around it and enjoy home cooked meal. This is how you will build quality time and have a better and relaxed digestion.
Maintain healthy relationships.
This starts at home. Have a good connection with your kids. Kids know how to be happy without doing any effort. Play with them in an indoor playground built at home. You can spend some amazing time that will never come back with your kids and at the same time you can leave them there while focusing on your work without worrying about them screaming.
On another hand, make your living room a relaxing one where you can sit and enjoy small talks with your partner. Invest in curtains for living room in order to help natural light come in which can elevate endorphins, also known as the happy hormones. This will elevate your mood too.
Declutter your home
A cluttered mind might be the result of a cluttered home. Take a few moments out of your day to tidy up your environment. This does not imply that you should clean every nook and corner of your home. Simply make an effort to pick clothing up off the floor and toys from the indoor playground, prevent mails from accumulating on the wooden dining table, make your bed, clean your dishes, and live a tidy life. Developing these habits can have a significant impact on your attitude on life, allowing you to think more clearly and focus on critical activities.
Invest also in some storage that will help you organize your house. For example, go shopping for a wardrobe for your room or some bathroom cabinets
Meditate
This will help you be more productive and stay focused all day long. Find a meditating corner that can be in the sitting room. Do a corner next to the curtains for living room in order to let the light go in. You can keep some books next to you to have something to read too and some scented candles. This will lower your stress and so improve your life.
Focus on personal hygiene
Invest in products that smell good like good shampoos, hair mysts, body lotions that you can keep in hand in the bathroom cabinets. It is important to keep everything around you clean and as well keep your body clean in order to have a higher self-esteem.
Get some good night sleep
You must work on getting 7 hours of sleep in a relaxing environment. For this, you must focus on your bedroom. Think a comfortable bed with a good mattress. Think about having good curtains that can be closed at night to have total obscurity but can be opened for some fresh morning sun. you room must also be always decluttered that’s why storage cabinets and wardrobes are essential. Kepp the wall paintings light to help you fall asleep.
